In this, her fourth volume of poems, tight-woven, visceral, surreal and intellectual, Rajandaye Ramkissooon-Chen has continued her legacy of probing research into the experiences, varied and sometimes painful, of immigrants from India to Trinidad. She delves into their customs, their religions and philosophy and pays veneration to ancestral pioneers. She also writes passionately about her parents and her people in Trinidad where she was born and where she practises her medical profession.
